Talent Quest Update! 7/08/14

Hi, we are your 2014 Student Council
As you may know we are in the middle of the OLA Talent Quest, we have seen many amazing acts over the past few weeks and have judged the top 3 acts from the Hillary Team & Batten  Team they are:

Once we have judged the Rutherford & Sheppard team all of the top 3/4 acts will perform on the 15th of August, OLA Feast Day, and the judges will decide on the winning act. It will be hosted by year 7/8 students. If you are one of the top 3/4 students who got chosen from your team, you will be able to bring a costume and/or music. Thank-You! Good-Luck!

Talent Quest Update

Hello we are your 2014 Student Council. As you may know the Student Council are holding a Talent Quest for all students. We will be holding the auditions in the next couple of weeks in Room 6 and we will be judging the best three acts from each team. All nine winners will perform on the OLA Feast day and we will judge the winning act. Below is the audition sheet and a few reminders for the day. Thank you! 

Talent Quest Auditions! Please contact the Student Council if you cannot make any of these times and we will reschedule you for a different time. We will supply a stereo/doc but you will need to bring a CD/other music. You will be allowed to bring a costume to get changed into at lunchtime (before your audition) and can bring an iPod/instrument that you can leave with the Student Council (in the office) until the audition. All auditions will be held in Room 6 at lunch times.

FIFA World Cup!

Hello we are your 2014 student council.
As you may know the FIFA World Cup day on the 27th of June was a great success. It was a fun and exciting day for all of the students and we ended up raising $294.20 for our Sponsored child Jose Alfredo. The teachers vs. year 8's Soccer game had to be postponed because of the bad weather on the field. We went around and judged the best decorated classrooms and saw lots of amazing classes. We would like to congratulate Room 4&5 for their spectacular decorations but in the end we chose Room 5!! Congratulations to everyone who won a prize for their costumes it was really great seeing you all in unique and creative costumes. We hope you all had fun and enjoyed the entire day! The holidays are coming up and is a great time to be practicing your act for OLA's Got Talent! Please remember it is optional but we would really love to see all of your hidden talent that you can show off to the rest of the school. It will be held in Week 2/3 of Term 3 and there will be prizes for the Winner(s)! Thank you for all your support and donations throughout the year we hope you enjoy your holidays! Many thanks! Student Council Update!

Hi this is Bella, Brooke, Breanna and Laura,

Hi this is your 2014 Student Council :) Breanna, Brooke, Bella & Laura.

 We hoped you enjoyed the St.Patricks day dress up and the Hot Cross Bun Day! We thought we would let you know about the Fifa World Cup Fun Day coming up on the 27th of June 2014. Each class has been assigned a country in the world cup to support and dress up in the countries colours on the Fifa world cup fun day. Each class can decorate their classroom in Fifa World Cup theme, and the student council will judge the best decorated class. There will also be a year 8 vs. Teachers football game on the field at lunchtime.

The Student Council are also planning a Talent Quest for years 3-8. The heats will start at the beginning of Term 3, so students will have time to practise over the holidays.
